Banker's Suite

This spacious room includes a king size sleigh bed and renovated private bathroom and is on the 1st floor. If the personal gas fireplace isn't enough to keep you warm you can always heat up in your own personal steam room that's fitted in the shower. There is a wardrobe for hanging clothes and two large bedside tables for other items. Be amazed at the floor to ceiling carpentry work and wonder how they managed to create such beautiful and intricate pieces of work 100 years ago! Why the name?? The hidden underground vault of this room, while now just an obviously great potential wine cellar, used to house an underground tunnel that led to a building on Harrison Avenue. We know the building to now house an art gallery but in 1896 it was the then owner, A.V. Hunter's, bank - the Carbonate National Bank. Feel free to take a tour! This room is positioned on the East side of the house and is quiet most of the time. Some windows face the backyard so you may hear noise from the courtyard and hot tub.  At times you may hear some noise from the communal spaces and also some noise carries from the host apartment upstairs but overall this is a quiet and private room. There is high speed wifi available throughout the house. There are no TVs in the rooms. The guesthouse has a communal style approach to accommodation.  You can retreat to the privacy of your room or hang out in one of the common areas and meet and mingle with other guests.  With our downtown location you can mix with like-minded outdoor enthusiasts and have a unique taste of what it's like to live like a Leadville local. You can use the outdoor facilities including the hot tub and fireplace and Indoors, the kitchen, living room & dining room are all communal spaces.
