The Parlour

The Parlour is on the ground floor of the house. It's a spacious room and includes a king size bed and renovated private bathroom. Curl up and enjoy a glass of wine and a good book, or great conversation with a friend by your personal gas fireplace. The room is full of quirky and historical knick-knacks as well as two oversize lounge chairs and footrest. Why the name?? Originally, this room was dedicated as the ladies parlour and we're sure the ceiling to floor wood paneled walls are holding some well kept secrets. This room is positioned on the East side of the house and is quiet most of the time. This room is very close to the front entry door so you may hear people coming and going. At times you may hear some noise from the communal spaces and also some noise carries from the host apartment upstairs but overall this is a quiet and private room. There is high speed wifi available throughout the house. There is no TV in the room. The guesthouse has a communal style approach to accommodation. You can retreat to the privacy of your room or hang out in one of the common areas and meet and mingle with other guests. With our downtown location you can mix with like-minded outdoor enthusiasts and have a unique taste of what it's like to live like a Leadville local.
Built in the 1880's and home to many prominent Leadvillians, this house is full of character and history. Although meticulously maintained over the years, the house is old and has it's creaks and its squeaks. But as always our goal is to provide you with a clean, warm and friendly place to stay. If you like the outdoors, meeting new folks and love everything that Leadville has to offer, this is the place for you!
